I had a really busy weekend of racing in a double header up at UCLAN sports arena. On Saturday it was the #Northwest #circuitrace #championship I didn't fair quite so well in the #U10 #youthd but still managed a respectable 5th position in a tight sprint finish 😎 On Sunday it was the 5th round of the #northwestyouthleague hosted by redroseolympic it was a very fast race and I managed to take 3rd 🥉in the sprint in the U10 race, so a great way to finish the weekend 😎😎
Great ride out with my dad last night round our local trails, that climb is a tricky one with roots, little step ups and a very sandy surface 😀
Yesterday at I Tameside in the 4th round of the #northwestyouthleage I had a great race, the pace was fast and it all came down to a sprint again where I came away with 2nd 🥈overall in the #U10 Next week I'm up at #UCLAN for the 360_cycling_official Northwest Champs and then the 5th round of the league the day after 😎
It was great to be back at Marsh Tracks for the 3rd round of the #northwestyouthleague I had a really close race and was happy to come away with 2nd 🥈in the #U10 after a 4 up sprint for the line
We went down to the britishcycling xc_nps_uk at Cannock on Saturday for a coaching, skills and "non-competitve" #U12 #U10 race organised by the rather excellent crankitcycling and had a brilliant time, including ripping a rather large scar in the felled tree I rode along as part of the skills when I dismounted with style and a couple of barrel rolls 🤟🏼 🤣 The race bit went well too with a flying start and nearly stacking it while unclipping in the bomb holes - there's a theme here - I really went for it after that and finished top U10 and in with the leading U12 riders too.

I had my first race in the #northwestyouthleague #circuit #race series at round 2 hosted by nccracing_ at the weekend in the #U10 race. It was a fast course and I worked hard all race, but got on the wrong side of the split at the front and the front 4 got away, so i ended up sprinting in the 2nd group and got 6th overall, so not a bad result 😎

I had a double race day this weekend, first up was the crankitcycling #U10 North of England #XCO #championship hosted by #shibdencc on a great course with some really technical features, I had a good race and was happy to come away with 2nd 🥈 place, crossing the line with annabelle_goes_cycling who won the #U12 girls 👏🏻 Next up was #oultonpark for the 360_cycling_official #nationalyouthseries support race in #Youthd we raced the full circuit and it was tough after the #mtb #race in the morning so I was happy again getting 2nd 🥈 place in final sprint 👌🏼
New cranks on my race bike, my other ones were a bit short so my dad fitted a fresh pair of Jet Racing ones which are a bit longer, means I can lower the saddle a bit for a better centre of gravity for cornering on crits 👌🏼
